A fantabulous poet, who hoists Tamil and Tamil Culture through his poets and imparts the ethics to be followed to lead The noble life.Thiruvalluvar, an illustrious Tamil poet who contributed a lot to the language.  To pronounce his labor to the society, hundreds and hundreds of monuments are erected across the world.  One more vault,  Valluvarkottam voices it sturdily.   On 1976,in the middle of Chennai city, adjoining the Kodambakkam High road the tomb was erected.

The monument incorporates all the 1330 verses of Thirukural grouped in 133 chapters, a model Temple chariot and an auditorium with the capacity of 4000 people.  Thiruvalluvar Statue was mounted in the 39m (128ft) chariot which was a resemblance of Thiruvarur chariot, considered to be the world’s largest chariot.  The bizarre was sculpted exquisitely and looks alike of its original.  It was chiseled by the hands of V. GanapathiSthapati, who also rendered 133ft statue of Thiruvallur at Kanyakumari.  The monument is being one of the example for fine art and glasses Tamil art, literature and culture.   The vault attracts thousands and thousands of spectators everyday and returns them the ethics, art, literature and sweetness of Tamil.  One more jewel to the city of Chennai welcomes you to realize the heights of Tamil Culture!
