India is the 5th biggest exporter of fake goods globally, while China is on the top with a large 63 per cent share in the estimated half-a-trillion dollar worldwide imports of counterfeit and pirated goods.
China is followed by Turkey, Singapore, Thailand and India among the top-five countries from where most fake goods originate, as per a new study by the OECD (Organisation Economic Cooperation and Development) and the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office.
A study shows that India has got the 5th place in the production of fake goods at the international level. It has been mentioned that China has the got the first place. Imports of counterfeit and pirated goods are being seized. OECD (Organization Economic Cooperation and Development) has made a study that which are the countries are producing the fake goods.
In that study it was mentioned that China takes the majority share in producing fake goods. Turkey`s share was just 3.3 percent. This is second to China. . Singapore, Thailand and India stood at 1.9 percent, 1.6 percent and 1.2 percent respectively.
